Project Description

A lot of people believe that if they are verbalizing their thoughts they are connecting with the other person; but most of the time this is far from the case. There are distinctions between speaking at someonehaving a conversationcommunicating and connecting.

Many people think they are having a conversation when all they are doing is Speaking AT the other person. When someone is Speaking AT another person, the speaker is focused on telling the listener something without caring how the message is being received by the listener. Speaking At someone is a monologue, not conversation; and often the person speaking is merely downloading information or just decompensating.

When people say, “I am going to give them a piece of my mind”, this may be what they are actually doing. Many times when a person is Speaking AT somebody they actually believe that they are having a conversation.
